WHEREAS, after-school programs promote positive relationships among youth, families, and adults while bringing together families, schools, and community partners to advance the welfare of our children; and

WHEREAS, after-school programs address the social and academic needs of youth by providing innovative, hands-on opportunities to engage in learning and connect with caring adults and peers in a safe and supportive environment; and

WHEREAS, after-school programs assist families and parents to remain in the workforce, provide for their families, and ensure their children’s safety without compromising their career goals; and
